About Tadek

Tadek Jasko was born in Nareczyn, Poland (now part of Ukraine) on the 8th of December 1926. He is an astonishing and inspirational man who has had more life experiences and adventures than many of us could ever imagine.

Whilst still a boy, WWII broke out and he was deported to Siberia where he fought against all odds and learnt to survive in whatever situation he was thrust into. He made his way to Persia where he joined the war and ended up in England, after which he settled down, undertook studies and worked his way up to the top of Telcon.

Tadek now lives in Crawley where he had the luck of meeting his wife-to-be, Maja, who had come to England after the war. Instead of relaxing he had three children and tackled the joys of parenthood with all the patience and wisdom his life had given him.

With his children grown up he has found the time to reflect upon and write about his experiences. He joined the Crawley writers circle which gave him the opportunity to explore creative writing and led to most of these stories.

Tadek sadly passed away on the 10th of November 2022, 18 days before his 97th birthday.
